• Each card includes a picture and three sentences. Students need to match the sentence to the picture (by pegging the correct sentence)
• The sentences are mostly decodable – this means students can sound the words out e.g. d-o-g = dog
• There are a handful of heart words included too (e.g. the, love). Heart words are frequently used words that have a tricky part to remember
